Did Solomon realy die? It wasn't show that all his body was inflicted. What was shown is how some part of his body was affected. Why he he didn't seperate this part as did Karl? The death of all others heros was shown fully, only Solomon's one, was shown partly and uncompetly.
If I am not mistaken, Solomon's death is confirmed in anime. His wound was on his chest which is, obviously, a part which cannot be separated like in Karl's case. He could have got away if he tore part of his flesh before the blood could spread as the cut was very small. But he had to keep his cool before Saya and get past her sight without her noticing his wound. By the time he meets Amshel, his body was crystallizing. Though he tried to land a blow on his brother, he just collapsed in a kneeled position with his hand broken and dies with his brother holding his shoulders and calling him a fool.
In the manga, however, Solomon do not die. He is shot by Amshel with a special bullet but Van saves him.
I am certain he did. Remember Ambshel was with him while he died. Right after Solomon dies, we see Diva and Nathan having a conversation about it and Nathan says: "so it's just me and Ambshel left." Where would he get this information from? most likely Ambshel told him after confirming Solomon's death.
Even though we don't see him crystalize fully, we see his face partially crystalized before the scene is skipped. How on earth would he survive that? There are no known antidote or other method to alter the poisonois effect of Saya's blood, if there was, don't you think Ambshel would've used it to save himself. He was the only one who could possible save Solomon in the given situation.
Also Solomon says, moments before his death; "a little longer...just a little." Either he knew he was finished, or simply accepted death. And why didn't he cut off his shoulden once it had been affected be Saya's blood? this would be the only other way he could've saved himself. Well, first of all, Solomon was mortally wounded even before he got cut be Saya's sword. Remember how he lost almost all of his blood after fighting Diva. If he cut off his shoulder after that, he would most likely die from blood loss. Being a doctor, he probably knew this. Another, less likely possibility is that he might've been able to save himself in some way, but simply chose not to. He was very depressed after being rejected be Saya, even wondering how he should go on living. Personally i cannot think of any way he could've saved himself, given how close he is to death the last time he's seen.
The blood loss explains his mortal wound, after all he did receive it from the queen. Tragic dillemma in that guy's life ~ he served two queens (one obligatory and other 'cuz of love), got dumped by both and even his death had contributions from both queens (direct and indirect).
I asked about Solomon due to one reason - a camparison with James.
If James had not servived, after being wounded by Saya I would have been sure that Solomon died. But James servived, I mean the first battle with Saya on Island. And Amshel heeled his wounds after a lot of time. Couldn't Amshel cure Solomon as James? May be Amshel could have some reasons to keep Solomon alive?
James was stabbed in his leg and both his arms were out of use. But loss of limbs is not so fatal as a chestwound (in Solomon's case). That rules out the possibility of comparison of both cases. As for Amshel trying to cure Solomon, the latter was way beyond cure I believe. Even if Solomon had chances of living, the last thing Amshel would want at that crucial state was a traitor brother.
Ambshel has no reason to keep Solomon alive after the betrayal. He obviously chose to save James because not only is he very powerful, but also completely loyal to himself and Diva. Right after Solomon announced he was leaving Diva, Ambshel tried to kill him. He also ordered Nathan to kill him after the fight between Solomon and Diva and expressed nothing but disdain for Solomon's love for Saya. It would make no sense for him to suddenly wan't to save Solomon.
also, Ambshel didn't cure James, he merely replaced his missing limbs with schiff body parts, some that turned out to be fatal to James anyway. The is no known way to save a chiropteran once they start crystalizing. The only one who possible could is Julia, and i doubt she would save diva's chevaliers.
Of course, Say's blood. But look the episod when James received such blood! How much he got and how little did Solomon get! The death of Solomon wasn't shown completly. In anime we didn't see how he died, we see tha he feel himself badly, but not dieing. I think, may be, the creators wanted to show that there is a still hope for Solomon?
well julia was able to develop a cure for lulu, who was made from diva's blood, using saya's blood. maybe if solomon lived longer to see that day and avoid amshell, he woulda been rid of crystalization. its just so sad that my fave lover died
